I’m shooting a personal project, and need whisky loving volunteers for portraits. Or if you don’t like whisky, that’s okay too, you just have to be willing to brave a shot of whisky for the camera. Trust me, it will be awesome. Must be 21+.

Come on by 209 College Street, Third Floor, tomorrow night between 6 and 9 to get involved. Just give me a heads up that you’re coming.

Several months ago I had the beautiful and charismatic singer/actress Jane Beaumont-Snyder up to the studio for some portraits. Trained in classical voice, dance and acting, Jane has also dabbled in poetry, massage therapy, astrology, organic farming and philosophy. You may have caught her wowing the audience in Spielpalast Cabaret, Orkestriska’s Box and host of other plays and performances, or treating Church Street to her soprano melodies. The photos were so fun to go through – I had her sing a bit, and there were some wonderfully expressive images. My personal favorite, though, is this one: a quiet moment between photographer and subject.

Happy Saturday! Just a quick FYI that we got a new set of lights up at the studio and want to play. So we’re offering free five or ten minute portraits all day, from now til 5p.m. If you’re downtown for Farmer’s Market or Jazzfest, drop in, come out of the rain, come hang out and have an awesome portrait made of you. We’ll be posting a smugmug gallery where you can get a free low res download or order a reasonably priced print if you like. Studio address and directions below. Hope to see you there!

Big news on the Eve blog

Some of you know that I’m opening up a studio in downtown Burlington with my longtime business partner and also-awesome photographer Judd Lamphere. We’re launching a multimedia and commercial brand, Reciprocity Studio, which will have a website going up in the next few weeks before our launch party. Both Judd’s and my work will be featured on Reciprocity’s website; we’ll also be pursuing collaborative and multimedia pieces. Lots of exciting work coming this winter! We’ve announced it over on our Eve blog – wander on over and check it out!
