Never underestimate the power of the ocean. While shooting at the beach in Vik, on the south coast of Iceland, a rather large wave crashed up on the rock I was standing on, coming within inches of my gear and a very bad day. Despite the horror of the moment, I snapped a few images, perhaps out of shock. Lesson learned.
Iceland is a place of raw and desolate beauty, with a constantly changing landscape and fiercely independent people. I’ve been here three days and I’ve already had my breath taken away countless times. More images from my travels to come – Many thanks to Judd Lamphere for his Photoshop help on this image.
