A few weeks ago I did a shoot with lovely models Hillary, Kendra and Emily. My friend and awesome makeup artist Candy Keurth did makeup and styling, and we made use of the old Maltex courtyard on Pine Street for a night shoot. I also bought what is quite possibly the most expensive balloon I’ve ever spent money on, a $15 round helium giant from Party City. I had to stop the sales clerk from blowing it up to the full 36 inches out of fear that I wouldn’t be able to jam it in my compact sedan. This was just for fun and to get some stuff for all of our portfolios. It was also a nice break from the usual photojournalism-style work – and a chance to play with fun lighting and props. Enjoy! And would love to hear your thoughts.
Who doesn’t love balloons?
Just found your site, saw Jane’s link about your Liberate shots (I was there).
Your shots look great, as does the site layout. It would be cool to hear more about your equipment set-up and specifically lighting for this shoot.
Rock on,
Alex
