Head on over to the Life & Style section of The Wall Street Journal today and you’ll find an assignment I shot on balance bikes – apparently a hot new trend in learning to ride bikes. These pedal-less contraptions teach balance before pedaling and, according to their makers, get kids riding real bikes more quickly than those who start out with training wheels.
For the story I photographed Declan of Stowe and Quinn from Brandon, Vermont, two of the cutest little guys on bikes ever. I don’t get to photograph kids too often, but it’s always fun as they somehow know to act perfectly natural in front of the camera. The story comes complete with an online slideshow and is on the front page of the Personal Journal (section D) of the paper itself. Cheers!
